About The Speaker

Pixels

This collaborative art-based team building activity involves groups painting individual canvases that form part of a larger masterpiece. Participants, dressed as chefs, initially work on their own sections before realizing the interconnected nature of the project. This revelation sparks increased communication, strategy discussions, and resource sharing among teams. The activity culminates in a dramatic reveal of the assembled artwork, demonstrating the power of teamwork and interdependence. Throughout the process, participants engage in decision-making, focus, and collaboration, ultimately creating a visual representation of their collective effort and unity.

A fabulous team bonding experience where teams collaborate to create a masterpiece!

  • Each team is given a canvas, a set of paints, brushes, cups and many other props..and a design sheet that they refer for painting their canvas. Team members are draped in chef hats and aprons as well!
  • After the facilitator has given the instructions and set context to the activity, teams get busy sketching and painting their respective canvasses.
  • But as they begin to sketch, they realise that their canvas is only a small part of the bigger picture that involves all the other canvasses of the other teams!
  • Suddenly, the mood shifts from a simple hour of painting to a surge of decision making, strategy, focus, collaboration, interdependency…all the right things to make the masterpiece a success!
  • Teams begin to share thoughts and ideas and eventually decide on the way forward after multiple discussions
  • Teams also address the need to share their paints with each other so that there is significant continuity of the artwork from one canvas to the other
  •  After all the teams have finished their painting, we ask them to leave the hall for a break while we align each piece on a frame and drape the entire masterpiece with a black masking cloth
  • Once the audience returns into the hall, we get them involved in a countdown and help reveal the masterpiece for all to see and cherish!

This session is collaborative in nature and allows everyone to feel the power of working as one team!
