About The Speaker

F1 Racing

This high-energy team-building activity, "F1 Racing by THP," challenges groups to construct and race pedal-powered karts. Teams divide tasks between mechanical assembly and aesthetic design, working collaboratively to build functional and visually appealing vehicles from scratch. The event culminates in a two-phase competition: first, a time trial to determine starting positions, followed by an exciting relay race where multiple team members drive laps. The winning team celebrates with a champagne spray, mimicking real F1 traditions. This activity combines engineering skills, creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition, offering a unique and memorable experience that fosters collaboration and problem-solving in an engaging, motorsport-inspired setting.

PEDAL POWERED KART

About the activity

Picture your entire audience grouped into multiple large teams! Each team is given the objective of constructing a pedal powered kart from scratch!

  • They receive nuts, bolts, spanners, washers, cutting plyers… everything required to construct the kart
  • Teams work tirelessly to build the mechanical frame of the car and also innovate on various aesthetic designs to beautify their cars!

Half the team is engaged in the mechanical construction while the other half is engaged in designing the chassis using corrugated sheets of various colours

  • The teams are then made to set the best time around the custom track. The time recorded by each team determines their position on the grid for the final race!
  • In the end, teams are lined up on the race track and will have 6-8 team members drive one lap each around the track in a relay to cross the finish line first!
  • Amidst all the energy and excitement, we present the winning team with a large bottle of chilled champagne for them to spray on everyone in celebration!
