This pirate-themed team building activity combines role-play, strategy, and negotiation in a fun business simulation. Participants dress as pirates and engage in trading commodities over four increasingly intense rounds, aiming to maximize profits. The game encourages trust-building, risk assessment, and strategic thinking while immersing teams in pirate lingo and attire. Lasting 90 minutes (customizable), it offers a unique blend of entertainment and practical business skills, culminating in rewards for the most successful trading teams.
About the activity
- Imagine your team dressed up as pirates, engaging with each other in tough negotiations as they trade with one another against the run of time with the goal of earning a great profit! And and the end of it all – learning about negotiations, trust building and being able to take calculated risks on the go!
- This is a fabulous pirate themed business simulation where the objective of each team is to maximise their profits by trading with one another
- Teams receive a bag of their trading commodities, each unique to the teams and having a unique value! And of course, they are all decked up with pirate hats, swords and a lot of pirate lingo!
- With plenty of information at their disposal, teams create a strategy to maximise their wealth. They get 4 trading periods to do so and with round, the trading time reduces by half!
- At the end of each trading period, teams are rewarded for collecting the maximum of a desired commodity and at the end of four trading rounds, the team with the maximum amount of money and commodities is deemed as the winner of the high seas!
- With plenty hats, bandanas and pirate language doing the rounds – the group is bound to have a fantastic time and takeaway a lot in learning through this activity
